A Toast To: Holiday Sweaters!

The Perfect Holiday Gift for any Man: Trunk Club

Trunk ClubTrunk Club

The holidays always leave women unsure about what to purchase for the special men in their lives. Whether it’s a friend, brother, father, grandfather, or that special someone; I have the cure for this holiday conundrum. Trunk Club.  For the guys reading this post, please do yourself a favor and check out the Trunk Club website!

I first heard of Trunk Club from a close friend about a year ago, and I have to admit I was impressed with their over-all business strategy. Trunk Club’s tagline reads, “Hand selected clothing for men. Premium clothes. Personal stylists. Zero membership fees.” Trunk Club members get to enjoy hassle-free and professional personal styling without ever having to step foot inside of a store.

How it works:

Start your membership by completing a short questionnaire that analyzes the following: current style level, looks you would wear, stores you generally gravitate to, and your measurements.

After completing registration you are given your own professional, highly trained personal stylist. Based on the questionnaire, the stylist will hand-select clothing based on your style and body type to ensure the perfect over-all look and fit. Trunk Club pulls clothing and accessories from over 50 high-end brands, offering a wide selection of premium men’s casual clothing.

Trunk Club

Worried your stylist won’t get it right? No need. You can communicate with your stylist anywhere by phone, text message, the Trunk Club iPhone app, or the Trunk Club website. The great thing about this service is that you can specify what kind of clothing you are looking for. Your stylist can give you professional input with gradually building your wardrobe, or help with special events such as weddings or job interviews.  This service is also the perfect graduation present for any guy about to start out in the workforce.

Receiving your Trunk in the mail is like Christmas every time. The unique design of the Trunk Club packaging adds to the sense of excitement in wondering what is inside. Being able to try on the items in the comfort of your own home allows you to make thoughtful decisions on what you want to keep, and what you want to send back.

Trunk Club’s pricing is similar to top-tier shops, but you get the services of your Trunk Club stylist for free. In the end, you are paying regular retail prices found in stores, but receiving your own free personal stylist, professional opinion, shipping to your home, and free returns. Taking the extensive time and effort of shopping for your own clothing out of your schedule in itself is worth hiring the services of Trunk Club.

Trunk Club is based in Chicago, Illinois, and has 300 locations throughout the United States.  For my international subscribers, Trunk Club is currently only offered in the contiguous United States; however, they are planning to expand.

A gift card from Trunk Club is the perfect gift for any man in your life!

A Toast to Trends: Textured Leather

Leather has been trending ALL OVER the runways and streets for the past couple of seasons.  This season the runways have brought us a new twist: textured leather.

My personal favorite example of this trend is a tiered and tiny square-cut leather mini skirt from M.S.S.P.  I paired it with another trend, a chambray button-up, to help make it more casual for day-wear.
